American Legion Auxiliary District #1 Fundraising event

The American Legion Auxiliary District #1 will be conducting a fundraising event on Sat., May 12th at 7 p.m., at the Jaffrey Memorial VFW Post #5613, 12 Hathorn Rd. (off of Rte. 202S), Jaffrey, NH, for our first of, hopefully, many successful fundraising events to support American Legion Auxiliary Programs (i.e. support for our veterans and their families, scholarships, etc.).

Our theme is the classic Stage Door Canteen,” featuring music and dance from the pre-war and post-war, of the WWII era. Who doesn't remember and enjoy such great classics WWII tunes such as the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Sentimental Journey,” “I'll Be Seeing You,” and the list of great songs just goes on and on.

Many local performers from the American Legion family, Branch River Theatre, Actor's Circle Theatre, Inspirational Improv, Smallpond Productions, Fuzzy Logic, Rage `n' Age, and others will be on hand, along with our Master of Ceremonies “Bud” Morrison, to bring back memories of wonderful music and dance. Don't miss out on an opportunity to support this event and the different American Legion Auxiliary programs that will benefit so many people  … they could be a family member, a neighbor, a friend … here's a chance for you to support them simply coming to the show! Get a sneak peek of the program and performers by visiting the Branch River Theatre website at http://www.branchrivertheatre.com. Just scroll down on the Home page and click on the American flag!

And a huge “THANK YOU” to Lonn Elliott and the VFW Post #5613 who has already donated their wonderful facility for this fundraiser. Also, thanks to Phyllis Fowle and Savron Graphics!

Tickets are $10 General Admission, $7 Senior/Students/American Legion Members or any Member of the Armed Forces.
