Twenty-two people from all walks of life talk about their simple dreams and grand aspirations, telling us what they are, what they were, and how they've changed. It's a group portrait that flies in the face of stereotyped expectations, revealing the true diversity of people in search of the American Dream.

C.P. Ellis - Business manager, Int'l Union of Operating Engineers. Light southern accent.
Peggy Terry - Laborer, heavy southern/hillbilly accent, over 35.
Joe Begley - General store proprietor. Older, late 50s early 60s or thereabouts. Hillbilly.
Florence Reese - Coal miner's wife. Older woman. Hillbilly.

Carol & Tony Danlow - Lottery winners, 40s.
Jenny & Laura Bird - Mother and Daughter, 43 and 21.
Pat & Tom Gish - Newspaper publishers, 40s.
